Root Beer Freezes

Hello Woolies!

I hope you had a great Holiday weekend!  Savannah is including a recipe that I have heard raves about – Root Beer Freezes!  They were so good that they made them twice over the weekend.  Sounds to me like a perfect way to kick off into Summer. 

Memorial Day is always such a reflective time for me.  I think of those that serve in our Armed Forces and have made so many sacrifices for our Freedom.  Our grandson, Cory, who was serving in Afghanistan continues to recover from his injuries suffered from an IED explosion.  He wants to be a soldier, wants to serve his Country.

Mini Moments with Savannah

This week is going to be very busy.  This Friday and Saturday I have dance recital.  I am going to be performing in seven dances.  Of course not all the dances are in the same recital show. There is one recital Friday night, a recital on Saturday afternoon, and one that night. I am going to be in the opener!  I have dress rehearsal  all this week.  So that we will be confident and ready on the stage that we are dancing on.   It is going to be a busy and crazy week full of dancing, make-up, pictures, and fun!

I am a root beer lover! So a recipe that my mom, Carrie, found on another blog is Root Beer Freezes! You’ll love them. They are almost like root beer floats except they are more frozen. I hope you enjoy!


Root Beer Freezes Recipe - (originally posted on One Good Thing By Jillee)

Mix one liter of root beer with one can of sweetened condensed milk.  Pour into your ice cream machine and turn on.  It takes about 25 minutes for our machine to turn this delicious mixture into a frozen slush like consistency.  Best if enjoyed immediately.
