More About Me...
I think I was born with a needle and thread in my hand. From my earliest days I remember sewing with Grammie. At 5 years old, I was drawn to my mother's brand new Singer Featherweight Sewing Machine like a magnet. Even running the needle through my finger would not stop me from sewing and creating. I sewed garments for myself, for my children, decor for my homes and did craft shows galore making and selling my handcrafted items. As a wife, mother, grandmother of 7, I certainly made my share of quilts inspired by family members. In 1999, I officially began my Quilt Pattern Design business.... Starry Pines Pattern Company. (www.starrypinespatterncompany.com) My designs focus on Folk Artsy Wool Applique, very scrappy quilt designs, embroidery and other quilt related items such as satchel bags and many mini projects. I love hunting for Flea Market items that I turn from trash to treasure. In 2005, The Little Wool Shoppe (www.thelittlewoolshoppe.com) quilt shoppe was opened. This fun shoppe features 1000's of different wools sold by the yard or by the square inch. It provides a gallery to feature my designs and designs by other Wool artists. The shelves are studded with wool and kits for each project in the Shoppe. I love offering projects that have been designed for the Shoppe and not offered anywhere else.

I find the Wool Shop one of the most exciting places to visit. Even though I don''t get in as often as I like I always come away inspired. At the end of May we will be moving to Colorado Springs in order to be closer to be closer to family in our golden years. I'll look forward to keeping up with your blog and to downloading the snowmen. Thanks for being the wonderful people you all are. Dee Foss
